March Madness

...WII night with the Dam's and Warner's...
This month for WII night we ROCKED out to Rock Band!! I wish I had pics! I will have steal some from Erin's blog. It was so fun! Heather sang while me and Erin played the guitars...I am going to have to practice BIG TIME because I only earned about 5 dollars each time we played! :0) Thanks guys for another fun night!
...The Zoo...
Erin and I took our kiddos to Hogle Zoo on March 18th. It was SO much fun! Preston is at the age where he loves ALL animals and loves to make ALL the animal sounds. Here's a pic of Gracie Lu and Preston before we went in. It was so fun watching both of them get exited over the animals. Could they BE any cuter?!?

...C H I C A G O...

My mom and I decided, last minute, to go visit the Lambourne's. I LOVE spur of the moment trips! So we booked our flights and headed to Chicago early Friday morning, March 20th.
One of the flight attendants LOVED Preston. Everytime she would walk by she would stop and play with Preston. She asked him if he wanted to go for a walk. She picked him up and walked up and down the isle with him. He loved it!

As soon as we got to the Lambourne's house, Preston saw Desi and London's kitchen set. He went straight for it and played there for quite some time. Here is sweet London and Preston.

That night was when all the caos started..We had just finished our dinner at a resturant, and Preston was standing up and fell backwards onto the tile floor. I picked him up and he threw up. GREAT! My one year old has a concussion. So Drewman gave Preston a priesthood blessing and went with me to the ER. While we there, Preston was walking around EVERYWHERE, playing, eating and drinking. After looking him over, and seeing how he was acting, the NP said that we were good to go, but to keep an eye on him.

So the next day, Saturday we woke up and he was acting just fine..thank goodness. We went to a FANTASTIC park by Michelle's house (I took pictures with Michelle's camera, so I will have to post those later.) Preston had a blast!
That night I bought Twilight...LOVE IT! Michelle, Drewman and I watched it...did I mention that I LOVE that movie! It was even better being able to watch it with Michelle!

Here is Preston, Saturday morning, sitting all by himself at the table with Grandma and Desi

Here is beautiful Desi..
Here is my handsome boy..

Then, Sunday morning, we head off to church. Desi is soooo sweet with Preston. She made sure that he made it across the street safetly :0)

We had been sitting for about 20 minutes when Preston started THROWING UP!! He threw up more than I had EVER seen him throw up before. So then I started panicing because he had hit his head HARD two nights before. So I took him home and made a call to his pediatrician. His doc said to just keep an eye on him and if he keeps throwing up, then to take him in. Well, Preston continued to throw up. Drewman called over one of his friends and they gave Preston another blessing, then Michelle and I took him back to the ER. They ended up having to do a CT scan! Preston did AMAZING! He was crying a little, but they let me stand right by him the whole time, so he could see me and I could talk to him. He was such a trooper! The CT looked great. There wasn't any bleeding, bruising, or anything that would indicate a problem. So Preston had the stomach flu.

Monday Preston slept on me pretty much the entire day. He only threw up a couple times. Michelle, the girls and my mom went shopping and played, while we stayed home, and then that night we watched Twilight again!! :0)

Tuesday morning, the day we are to leave, both me and my mom wake up throwing up and going diarrhea, along with Preston. Luckily, my mom was feeling MUCH better by eleven ( we had to leave Michelle's around 2) By one o'clock I was feeling better, and Preston hadn't thrown up since about 7...so we packed up the car and headed to the airport. We were all able to make it home without throwing up or going diarrhea (Preston is finally starting to feel better, and has stopped going diarrhea, after almost 2 weeks!!)

Even though we were sick this trip, I am still SO GLAD WE WENT! I LOVE being with my mom, sister, Drewman, Desi, London, and Preston. We are always laughing and I love how close we are! I was so worried about Preston. My mom, Michelle and Drewman were there for me. I know that Steve was worried too, and it really helped Steve to know that Drew was there to give Preston a blessing and be there to keep me level headed

Here are some more darling pics of our Chicago trip..

THANK YOU LAMBOURN'ES FOR LETTING US COME AND VISIT!! WE LOVE YOU!!

...PRESTON JAMES...

Here are some random pictures of Preston. I love his cheesy smile that he gives when you ask him to smile.

Yep, that is a PINK AND PURPLE vacuum that Preston is playing with. I don't know who's it is or how it got to my house, but he loves it! :)

...Conference Weekend...
This weekend was CONFERENCE WEEKEND!!! I LOVE CONFERENCE WEEKEND! While the guys were at the Priesthood session, my mom and I went to Allie's bridal shower and then we went to my Grandma's. Every year for as long as I can remember, my Grandma has everyone over after the Priesthood session for banana splits. Here is Preston with Uncle D...do I even have to mention that Preston LOVES his Uncles?!?! :0) Preston started out on his own chair, but then ended up on Darren's :0)

Then we slept over at my parent's house and had a yummy breakfast Sunday morning. Here are some pics os Preston playing during the 'break'

...Paint jobs...

I painted Preston's bathroom and I did diamonds on my half wall in my living room. My next project is to paint the piano black! I am SOOO exited. Steve and I are going to start tomorrow!

Oh my - how crazy your spur-of-the-moment Chicago trip ended up! But I'm so happy to hear that you all got over your flu and made it back safe and sound. It sounds like Preston had a similar virus to what Dylan had when he was that age - the Rota Virus. But it put Dyl at Primary Childrens for a week because the diarrhea and vomiting wouldnt stop. So sad!

PS - I can't even count how many times Maddy and I have watched our Twilight DVD :)

I need to strip and paint my piano too---let me know how it goes and words of wisdom. Charlie always loves! playing with toy kitchens. Everyone tells me they are too girlie though to just buy one for him. :( Good thing we are having girls right? Sounds like a fun month you had.
