Daddy and me

Some nights Preston has been really fussy and just not happy (we are thinking reflux had A LOT to do with it) well Steve being the fantastic dad that he is, would take him to calm him down. He would walk around the house and eventually end up on the couch....No one can calm Preston down like Steve, in fact, one night, Preston had been crying for about an hour and half. I had tried everything and my thighs were on fire from bouncing. So I went into our bedroom and asked Steve to take him just for a few minutes. As soon as Steve took Preston, he stopped crying INSTANTLY. So Steve handed him back to me, and he started crying INSTANTLY, so I handed Preston back to Steve and he stopped crying INSTANTLY, so I started crying and got in bed, pouted, and fell asleep....I am blaming that one on the hormones...
Yeah for pumping!!! Steve is SOOOO happy that he gets to help feed Preston...

Steve and I had 4 hours just to ourselves with Preston...it was fabulous! It is so sweet to see Steve holding Preston and to have that alone time with just the three of us
I LOVE MY BOYS!!!
I was thinking about the 'aftermath' of giving birth and why it really isn't talked about. I had some friends (thanks Shelly and Tasha) who kind of clued me in. I mean, you're told all about how to get pregnant (hopefully), you know what to expect when expecting, but no one ever really gets into detail about what happens to your body as soon as the precious baby is out...no I will spare you the details because as I was thinkging about this, I looked down at Preston and he had those big blue eyes looking up at me with his 'gas' smile, and the throbbing from the waist down went away, and I swear I stopped leaking for a moment. That's why it's not really talked about, because it doesn't matter. IT'S WORTH IT! and when you've waited 3 years, like we have to get a precious spirit into your home, you'll do and go through anything. Besides, the throbbing goes away, and you eventually stop leaking. I am SO lucky!!!

That is so great!!! Nothing better than a great, involved DADDDY! This is Whitney Hammer, by the way. Good luck with the reflux. It will soon pass, just be patient!
